Media Mogul Rupert Murdoch made a comment that blamed New York City’s problems on Governor David Paterson’s blindness, which, according to the billionaire, makes it hard for Paterson to “really know what’s going on.”

On Monday, while listening to speakers at a Wall Street Journal CEO conference about the problems facing New Yorker’s, Murdoch (who owns the New York Post, Wall Street Journal and Fox News), said: “The Senate, the State Assembly, totally incompetent, with a governor, who’s a very nice and honest man, who can’t, who’s blind, who can’t read Braille and doesn’t really know what’s going on.”

Murdoch said this in response to a comment about the lack of civility in political discourse.

Paterson’s office has not yet issued a statement in response yet.
