 Harajuku, or Japanese street fashion has recently been popularized in the U.S. because of celebrities like Gwen Stefani.
New Yorkers think they have guts when it comes to fashion, but they have got nothing on the harajuku kids. They spend everyday walking around with the most mix-matched, crazy outfits. They do not have to go to an anime convention to look like their favorite manga characters. I admire them so much because while their outfits sound ridiculous, they can work them.

Drug dealers are now selling baggies of heroin stamped ‘Twilight’ and feature a cartoon of hottie Robert Patterson. These baggies have surfaced in Hempstead, Long Island, and are quickly making their way though New York City.

As the world begins to work on a replacement to the Kyoto Protocol, President Barack Obama and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao are heading to Copenhagen to represent the two biggest world polluters.
Just a day after Barack Obama announced that he would be heading to Copenhagen to lobby for the passage of a treaty whose future has been in doubt, the Chinese State Council, their of a Presidential cabinet, announced plans to cut emission by 40% to 45% by 2020, a much more aggressive approach than the Chinese, or any other country, have taken in the past.

 City Comptroller William C. Thompson Jr. made a bid for mayor this year, and is now contemplating challenging Kirsten E. Gillibrand in next year’s primaries, according to the New York Times.
Thompson gained a lot of popularity during his run for mayor, and surprisingly even almost won against Michael Bloomberg. Thompson is now going over several options.
He could challenge the state comptroller, Thomas P. DiNapoli, in the primary election or he could return to the private sector and run for mayor again in 2013.
