Although no longer the largest theater on Broadway, the playhouse named after maestros of the musical stage – George and Ira Gershwin, boasts its own fair share of hit shows, along with a 1,900 seating capacity. Housed within the former Capitol Movie Palace, the Gershwin stretches over 6 floors with a 660 capacity balcony offering spectacular views of the orchestra pit. Premium seating is located on the ground floor with both central, left and right-wing areas available. One of the theaters most popular shows to date has been the long-running, award-winning sell-out “Wicked”. Should you be the bearer of an evening ticket, make sure you book yourself onto the matinee behind-the-scenes tour “Behind The Emerald Curtain” for a fantastic insight into the workings of this great production.
