Must Love Dogs

Central Park

I love dogs.  I grew up with a kick-ass mutt named Radar and today I care for the cutest Sheltie in the world (yes, THE WORLD) named, Bailey.  I believe if you don’t like animals, particularly dogs, you are not to be trusted.*  And because I love my dog, I like to make sure that he gets the chance to play, exercise, and socialize as much as possible. And to do so means having my finger on the pulse of the dog run scene.  Yeah, we dog owners are that serious about this stuff.  There is nothing worse than seeing your …continue reading

Sunday In The Park With Pastries

It’s Sunday morning.  You have peeled yourself out of bed and are ready to greet the day after a weekend of wild parties, turning heads, and a secret rendezvous or two.  Or maybe you spent your weekend by lounging at home in your PJs and watching every episode of 30 Rock, while drinking nearly a case of grape soda.  I don’t know your life and I don’t judge.  Either way you are about to start another week after the last one was full of long hours (be it spent at work or looking for work), bad food, and even worse coffee.  …continue reading

They weren’t paying all of their pills on time, forcing their parent company, Istithmar, to pump $25 million into the chain, despite their own financial problems. However, last month, billionaire Ron Burkle proved his faith in the store by purchasing a huge chunk of their debt, despite the fact that he got it for 60 cents on the …continue reading

Crime Scene at Norwood Palace Sports Bar

Early Sunday morning, an undercover police officer who was responding to reports of a bar fight fatally shot a 43-year-old security guard who had opened fire inside the bar. A 19-year-old man with a gun also involved in the fight was wounded by police.

It was a raging fight that drew police attention at Norwood Palace Sports Bar in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn, where patrons’ smashed bar stools over each other’s heads.
