
A small plane crashed in upstate New York today, in Wappingers Falls, leaving one dead and one injured.
The plane was going from Orange County Airport and was going to Danbury, Connecticut, but the pilot was trying to make an emergency landing in Dutchess County when the plane went down.
Jim Peters, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration, says the plane, called the “Piper Cherokee,” was around at around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday in a wooded area, just a few miles short of Dutchess County Airport.
