<p>With a much improved defense and a consistent 3-point game, the Knicks edged the woeful Charlotte Bobcats last night by a score of 97-93, thanks to six 3-pointers in the final quarter of the game.
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in">While the win over the Bobcats means nothing, after all, who hasn&#8217;t beaten the Bobcats, the victory is their 11th in 16 games. Even more impressively, the Knicks held their opponent to under 100-points for the 13th time in their last 15 games.</p>

<p>It has been so long since Nate Robinson saw any game action that he didn&#8217;t even budge when his name was called to come off the bench. Robinson had been riding the bench for a month, ever since the moment he came off the Knicks bench and scored a basket in his own hoop, but not two hours later the backup guard had scored 41 points and led the Knicks to a hardly fought overtime victory against the Atlanta Hawks.

<p>It took them 19 games but after setting a new record for worst losing streak to begin an NBA season, the New Jersey Nets have finally won their first game, a 97-91 victory over the Charlotte  Bobcats.

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in">It wasn&#8217;t easy, but more than a month and two coaches later, young center Brook Lopez led the winless Nets to a rare win with his 31 points and 14 rebounds finally netting New Jersey a point in the win column.</p>
