Win For Humane Society, Lord & Taylor Agrees Not To Sell Fur

Last year, Lord & Taylor, Dillard’s, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Saks and the parent company of Andrew Marc were all sued by the Humane Society for mislabeling faux-fur items. Finally, Lord & Taylor settled outside of court and promised not to sell products that contain the fur of raccoon dogs, whose fur is most commonly misrepresented, according to the Humane Society.

Lord & Taylor, and the other defendants, have allegedly sold garments labeled as raccoon, coyote, rabbit, or faux that actually contained raccoon-dog fur. Lord & Taylor says they will be careful from now on about correctly labeling fur.

Black Friday shopping is absolutely terrifying, but well worth the deals. Most stores are selling cheap electronics, which is what most people go for on Black Friday. But, Black Friday is a treat for fashionistas on a budget!
