No Smoking, No Trans Fat, No Salt Either Says Bloomberg

Most food will be affected by Bloomberg's new salt-reduction initiative.

First, smoking was banned all throughout New York City in public places, then, trans fat was taken off the menu, and now the city has a new target: salt.

The city is planning to unveil their new plan for salt reduction today, which in the end is supposed to work with health agencies and food companies to reduce the amount of packaged salt in products and restaurant food by 25 percent in the next five years.

What To Do With All The Snow

Snow can be wonderful… if you don’t live in the city. There’s skiing, snowboarding, sledding, making snowmen and snow angels.. but when you live in the city, there’s no room to do all this! So… what can you do when there’s this much snow out?

1) Go to Central Park, Prospect Park, or any other park.

Bring your kids! Kids can sled in the park, make snowmen, snow angels, and have snowball fights! This is pretty much the only place in the city where you can engage in traditional snow time fun.

Google Maps Street Views

All I can say is “Simply Amazing.” Google Maps is already a great tool and now Google has even made it better for New Yorkers and those planning to visit New York. There is a new feature called “Street View,” where you can drag an orange figure along the major streets of Manhattan and take a virtual walk in which you can pan, rotate, and zoom onto street photos.
